June 24, 2004

Rand Logistics was formed as a blank check company to effect a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition or other similar business combination with an operating business.

March 3, 2006

Rand’s affiliation with the maritime industry began with the acquisition of the outstanding shares of capital stock of Lower Lakes Towing and its affiliates, becoming indirect, wholly-owned subsidiaries of Rand.

August 28, 2007

Rand acquired two vessels and secured use of a third vessel to support Canadian operations.

February 13, 2008

Rand purchased three vessels to support Canadian operations.

February 14, 2011

Rand purchased two self-unloading tug/barge units to support U.S. operations.

July 14, 2011

Rand purchased two self-unloading tug/barge units to support U.S. operations.

September 27, 2011

Rand Logistics closed its public offering of common stock (NASDAQ: RLOG).

October 20, 2011

Rand purchased Canadian flagged dry bulk vessel to support Canadian Operations.

December 6, 2011

Rand acquired the tug/barge unit Ashtabula/Defiance to support U.S. Operations.

October 1, 2015

M/V Manitoulin joined Rand fleet to support Canadian Operations.

June 1, 2016

Rand announced first Marine Miracle Month Program, which raised over $125,000 for children’s charities.

February 27, 2018

Rand announced the addition of Conneaut Creek Ship Repair, a full-service ship repair, fabrication and industrial maintenance subsidiary.

March 1, 2018

American Industrial Partners acquired Rand Logistics and affiliates, and transitioned the Company from publicly traded to privately owned.

March 24, 2019

Lower Lakes Towing, Rand’s Canadian operating subsidiary, celebrated the beginning of its 25th Sailing Season in operation.

Acquisition

American Steamship Company was acquired by Rand Logistics in May 14 of 2020.
